Eoghan Murphy was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Hong Kong Football Club's 孙源川 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartley Crowe in the 18th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Bartley Crowe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 孙源川 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 高南军 was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 24th minute. Hong Kong Football Club's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, 王桦榕 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hong Kong Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but 王桦榕 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eoghan Murphy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Hong Kong Football Club's 唐庭潮 got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 高南军 to make the kick off. Cáirbre Brennan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 孙源川 having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cáirbre Brennan got free with 孙源川 in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 唐海沙 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Woodhouse's Artuir Walker dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-3. In the 95th minute, Gordon McVictor reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of 孙源川. The goal made the score 4-4. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Hong Kong Football Club players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
