In the 8thth minute of the game Wilton Camargo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Internazionale-RS's David Godoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Internazionale-RS booed when Compugraf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kiko Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Internazionale-RS's David Godoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Internazionale-RS from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute, Bruno Santana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Internazionale-RS's David Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilton Camargo in the 20th minute of play. If João Carlos Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Compugraf's goalkeeper Geovani Montenegro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Geovani Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho de Amaral in the 39th minute of play. Geovani Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitinho Siqueira in the 43rd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Compugraf's David Godoi threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wilton Camargo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Geovani Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho Soares in the 46th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilton Camargo in the 47th minute of play forced Internazionale-RS's goalkeeper David Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Bruno Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Geovani Montenegro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vitinho Siqueira in the 59th minute. Geovani Montenegro made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Bruno Santana sent off a good shot on target. Wilton Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Godoi having to interfere. In the 65th minute Wilton Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilton Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Compugraf's Cássio Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Internazionale-RS made a substitution. Rodrigo Magalhães replaced Bruno Santana. In the 76th minute, Luís Guilherme Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute Wilton Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 played minutes Compugraf got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Neves. After a defensive mix-up in Compugraf's zone, Vitinho Siqueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovani Montenegro came out of the goal and Vitinho Siqueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wilton Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geovani Montenegro was a little too slow when Rodrigo Magalhães got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-3. The Internazionale-RS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
