After 7 minutes, Jørg Mojsen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Hyklerne and the Linköpings AIK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Staffan Lind showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nick Fleman in the 12th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Hyklerne's goalkeeper Hasan Bræmdal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Nick Fleman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Staffan Lind was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Mattias Cassel kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The supporters of Linköpings AIK booed when FC Hyklerne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Arnspang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hasan Bræmdal came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Linköpings AIK's Johannes Torstensson. But to his dismay, Johannes Torstensson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 35 minutes into the match, FC Hyklerne's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Karlsson came free, but Hasan Bræmdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jørg Mojsen was shown his second yellow card after 36 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Jørg Mojsen kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 38 played minutes FC Hyklerne got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Lyngsov. Carl Karlsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 44 minutes, Johannes Torstensson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Linköpings AIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johannes Torstensson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Linköpings AIK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nick Fleman was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to FC Hyklerne getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Thorvald Masang hit a great ball. Johannes Torstensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hasan Bræmdal having to interfere. A collision led to Linköpings AIK getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Allan Karlsson hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the game, FC Hyklerne's Asmind Eirdorf nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Staffan Lind made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After 73 played minutes FC Hyklerne got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Lyngsov. After a rather tough play, FC Hyklerne's Jann Søtrup got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Linköpings AIK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
