After 16 played minutes Notts County BR got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Peixoto. Júlio César acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 16th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Silas Paraense. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Edinho Zanette managed to get in a good position for a shot. TERROR DA MOOCA F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Edinho Zanette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio Ceresso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Notts County BR's goalkeeper Júlio César, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 43 minutes into the game, Basílio Ortiz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Júlio César was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Válter Trigo to make the kick off. Sérgio Ceresso was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Christiano Arruda capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Christiano Arruda really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. Sérgio Ceresso stood somewhat misplaced when Válter Trigo came free in front of goal and shot 4-3 to the left of him in the 55 minute. Sérgio Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válter Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Geovanni Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Notts County BR booed when TERROR DA MOOCA F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position.
