Erubiel Dubardo started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes in the game, Marios Kofidis fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Arsenio Canor having to interfere. In the 9th of the match, Charilaos Kalokerinos tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Arsenio Canor got in the way and made a wonderful save. Jose Semeno was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 15 minutes into the match. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Copérnico F.C.! Arsenio Canor made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Thanasis Bougiouris sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute Charilaos Kalokerinos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Canor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Copérnico F.C.'s Arsenio Canor got control of the ball when Thanasis Bougiouris tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arsenio Canor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charilaos Kalokerinos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanasis Bougiouris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thanasis Bougiouris to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Charilaos Kalokerinos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Canor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Copérnico F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Charilaos Kalokerinos came free, but Arsenio Canor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Panionios MK defense, Erubiel Dubardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christos Sakalis. The Panionios MK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christos Sakalis should have stopped the shot. Charilaos Kalokerinos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsenio Canor having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Thanasis Bougiouris ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arsenio Canor was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Charilaos Kalokerinos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Thanasis Bougiouris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Copérnico F.C.'s Arsenio Canor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanasis Bougiouris in the 78th minute of play. Arnoldo Sergi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christos Sakalis having to interfere. Arsenio Canor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charilaos Kalokerinos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th match minute, Panionios MK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marios Kofidis to maneuver through the defense. Telis Vazakas kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.
