After 3 played minutes El Eterno Campeón got a freekick which was hit by Txomin Oliveros. If Tanio Mascaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ricard Armann charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricard Armann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Hønning's Ricard Armann got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute, Eskild Krossla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fidel Hoefler took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Philip Grunø. Hønning's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Hønning's goal looked a bit too open when Tanio Mascaro came free, but Philip Grunø reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Hektor Plenge came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Hønning fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hektor Plenge couldn't finish the play. In the 21st match minute, Hønning was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulrik Wieder to maneuver through the defense. Hektor Plenge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Tanio Mascaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philip Grunø was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some careless play in the Hønning defense, Yeray Saul kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Philip Grunø. The Hønning fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Philip Grunø should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute Tanio Mascaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Grunø saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Eskild Krossla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leandro Daneri made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Hektor Plenge sent off a good shot on target. Ulrik Wieder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half El Eterno Campeón were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tanio Mascaro to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, El Eterno Campeón's goal looked a bit too open when Hektor Plenge came free, but Leandro Daneri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danél Van Schowen kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After having played for 70 minutes, Hektor Plenge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hønning's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hektor Plenge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 71 played minutes El Eterno Campeón got a freekick which was hit by Xosé Jullian. Ulrik Wieder struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Leandro Daneri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hønning. Eberhardt Næsager's late challenge caught a El Eterno Campeón's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eberhardt Næsager helped the player get up and apologised. After 77 played minutes Hønning got a freekick which was hit by Eberhardt Næsager. El Eterno Campeón's Leandro Daneri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulrik Wieder in the 83rd minute of play. El Eterno Campeón's Tanio Mascaro got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. El Eterno Campeón's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
