After taking down the ball on Les Tigres's corner Oscar Cloyo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leandro Daneri quite easily take care of the ball. Christian Libertad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, El Eterno Campeón's Humberto Guajardo got a free kick in the 25th minute. When Oscar Cloyo came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Les Tigres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Cloyo couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niceto Gil during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 28 played minutes Les Tigres got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Gil. Leandro Daneri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Libertad in the 30th minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yeray Saul was the one to do the kick off. Christian Libertad in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leandro Daneri, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Libertad in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leandro Daneri saved El Eterno Campeón from getting behind. Christian Libertad's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leandro Daneri firmly grabbed it by the left post. Vicens Aguila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Paulino Lain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurín Munita kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. El Eterno Campeón's Leandro Daneri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albano Esiquio in the 73rd minute of play. When Les Tigres's Albano Esiquio in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. El Eterno Campeón's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albano Esiquio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Leandro Daneri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albano Esiquio in the 93rd minute of the match. Les Tigres's Albano Esiquio got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Les Tigres played a much better game than El Eterno Campeón and deserved their victory. The El Eterno Campeón players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
