The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eduardo Lima made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Salvador Chap sent off a good shot on target. The long shot by Alejandro Mikelar in the 6th minute really tested Eduardo Lima's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 19 minutes into the match, SC Angrense's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Marino came free, but Eduardo Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Marino in the 21st minute of play forced SC Angrense's goalkeeper Eduardo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jordão Serpa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Cristo Pagomari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salvador Chap sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Jordão Serpa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristo Pagomari was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. SC Angrense were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Tabossi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alfredo Macena took the corner. After taking down the ball on SC Angrense's corner Alfredo Macena fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cristo Pagomari quite easily take care of the ball. Tabossi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jordão Serpa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Eduardo Lima dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Jordão Serpa made the kick off in the second half. Eduardo Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Chap in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 55th minute Julio Marino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Salvador Chap hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute Artur Rego shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Pagomari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Rego struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Cristo Pagomari didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Angrense. In the 73rd minute Salvador Chap shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Julio Marino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eduardo Lima. Tabossi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julio Marino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 82 played minutes Tabossi got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Oxarra. Eduardo Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Marino in the 85th minute of the match. Eduardo Lima came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Tabossi's Nemesio Machado. But to his dismay, Nemesio Machado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. SC Angrense's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
