Oakham's Clive Chien-Kwan managed to work through Leon Platense's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Clive Chien-Kwan dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 22nd minute Faizal Ramachandran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Ixaka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clive Tan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Desiderio Ixaka firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Wei Xuan Politiek kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Desiderio Ixaka. That made the score 1-0 in the 32 minute of play. Desiderio Ixaka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Faizal Ramachandran in the 36th minute. If Faizal Ramachandran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Desiderio Ixaka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Merlin Tian in the 39th minute of play. If Clive Chien-Kwan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Desiderio Ixaka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clive Chien-Kwan in the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Camilo Tabor to strike the kick off in the second half. Clive Tan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Desiderio Ixaka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clive Chien-Kwan, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Oakham's Jerry Chong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Tabor in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Leon Platense's goal looked a bit too open when Clive Chien-Kwan came free, but Desiderio Ixaka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leon Platense's Desiderio Ixaka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryan Hong in the 85th minute of play. Desiderio Ixaka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faizal Ramachandran, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Merlin Tian's late challenge caught a Leon Platense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Merlin Tian helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Leon Platense booed when Oakham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Merlin Tian didn't get a good kick on the ball.
