When Miguel Costa came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Uberlandia-DMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Costa couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the match, Uberlandia-DMZ's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Guimarães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Szilárd Török. In the 23rd minute João Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kálmán Szaniszló saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When József Fekete fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Andrashida's protests and gave József Fekete a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Andrashida got a freekick which was hit by József Fekete. Osvaldinho Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ede Szalay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Andrashida booed when Uberlandia-DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uberlandia-DMZ's Pedro Paulo Bueno got his second yellow card of the match in the 30th minute. The referee ordered Pedro Paulo Bueno off the ground. The supporters of Andrashida booed when Uberlandia-DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Paulo Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 31 minutes, József Fekete managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Andrashida's supporters crossed their fingers, but József Fekete was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Kálmán Szaniszló tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

János Döbrögi's late challenge caught a Uberlandia-DMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. János Döbrögi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, János Döbrögi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kálmán Szaniszló made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Dinei de Lara sent off a good shot on target. After 71 played minutes Uberlandia-DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Maurinho Donatello. Narciso Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Norbert Kalmár hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Kálmán Szaniszló tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
