ΠΑΟΚ FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 16th minute, Miguel Merentiel made a precise shot to the right of Makis Tselementes. ΠΑΟΚ FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. A collision led to ΠΑΟΚ FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Aris Voutsas hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anestis Kapataidakis in the 32nd minute of play forced Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Domingos Iaki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ FC's goalkeeper Makis Tselementes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hipolito Piarres. Domingos Iaki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petros Giannakis in the 65th minute of the match. Alexis Stratigakis lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, Abuba Akotonon FC's Eber Ludueña got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Petros Giannakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Makis Tselementes came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Abuba Akotonon FC's Miguel Merentiel. But to his dismay, Miguel Merentiel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Domingos Iaki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anestis Kapataidakis in the 89th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
