Sporting Buceo's Guillen Ubiña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessio Troiani in the 20th minute of play. Dave Bassani came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Buceo's Estevez Lavega. But to his dismay, Estevez Lavega quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Enrico Faccio succeeded in the game's 31st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Achille Mastrocola kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Dave Bassani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Estevez Lavega, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Piearres Somiedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Buceo's supporters rose to their feet, but Piearres Somiedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dave Bassani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute of the match Favila Heras shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dave Bassani showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Sporting Buceo getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Estevez Lavega hit a great ball. Francesco Gallucci kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaizki Colina during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aversa's Dave Bassani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Aversa from getting a goal against them. Dave Bassani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piearres Somiedo in the 68th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Sporting Buceo's Dave Bassani threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Piearres Somiedo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 81st minute, Alessio Troiani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Aversa's Dino Saraceni got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute of the match, Favila Heras sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Dave Bassani showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 88 minutes into the game, when Alessandro Domenghini put in a rough tackle. In the 88th minute, one of Aversa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Aversa. A collision led to Sporting Buceo getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Sidoro Romeu hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Estevez Lavega during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 98th match minute, Sporting Buceo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Estevez Lavega to maneuver through the defense.
