In the 7th minute Alessio Troiani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Ademir Soares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dave Bassani made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Ernani Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rômulo Reis struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Dave Bassani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Dave Bassani successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Aversa's Achille Mastrocola got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 36th minute, Ernani Moura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rômulo Reis in the 47th minute of play forced Aversa's goalkeeper Dave Bassani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dave Bassani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flavinho Vinhas in the 48th minute.

The wind increased when Concetto Betti made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Aversa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Domenghini to maneuver through the defense. Dave Bassani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rômulo Reis in the 70th minute of the match. Ernani Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Alessio Galliani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrico Faccio in the 76th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Aversa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessio Galliani to maneuver through the defense. Luan Batista's late challenge caught a Aversa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luan Batista helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ got a freekick which was hit by Luan Batista. Dino Saraceni got a throw-in 93 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Concetto Betti. After a rather tough play, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Décio Maia got a free kick in the 94th minute. Concetto Betti took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frank Catarinense. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
