After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Fausto Peruanton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gutenberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Peruanton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Dolfo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Braulio Etxekopar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, CADU de Zarate's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Peruanton came free, but Melquiades Dolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 17th play minutes Fausto Peruanton shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Melquiades Dolfo and just under the crossbar into goal. Amancio Endira kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After 27 minutes CADU de Zarate's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alberto Lekubegi who took care of the corner kick. Santo Dominguez hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the game, Omar Fortun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CADU de Zarate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gutenberg the free kick. Edgardo Maxin charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgardo Maxin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edgardo Maxin kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. When Gutenberg's Fausto Peruanton in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CADU de Zarate's goalie prevented a goal. Melquiades Dolfo came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Gutenberg's Fausto Peruanton. But to his dismay, Fausto Peruanton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2.

The supporters of CADU de Zarate booed when Gutenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiburcio Ovando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melquiades Dolfo stood somewhat misplaced when Fausto Peruanton came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 57 minute. Melquiades Dolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Peruanton in the 64th minute of play. Fausto Peruanton in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Melquiades Dolfo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 67thth minute of the game Fausto Peruanton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CADU de Zarate's Melquiades Dolfo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Melquiades Dolfo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Peruanton in the 68th minute. Braulio Etxekopar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st match minute, CADU de Zarate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebio Artaldo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Braulio Etxekopar got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Melquiades Dolfo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, CADU de Zarate's Melquiades Dolfo got control of the ball when Fausto Peruanton tried to sneak it across the goal line.
