In the 23rdth minute of the game Jose Refugio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bacardi Black Bats's Juvenal Novais was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bernardino Tiadoro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Juvenal Novais made a huge save. Yupandú FC's Gervasio Bautista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abílio Castelo Branco in the 28th minute of play. Juvenal Novais made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Teofilo Izel sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Refugio in the 32nd minute of play forced Bacardi Black Bats's goalkeeper Juvenal Novais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bernardino Tiadoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juvenal Novais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Refugio in the 45th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Teo Fero made the kick off in the second half. Juvenal Novais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofilo Izel in the 54th minute of the match. A collision led to Bacardi Black Bats getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Reginaldo Menezes hit a great ball. Juvenal Novais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Izel in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Refugio in the 59th minute of play forced Bacardi Black Bats's goalkeeper Juvenal Novais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Yupandú FC fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Yupandú FC's Teo Fero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
