The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Robbin De Groote kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. The Absolut Rasta FC fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Absolut Rasta FC's Amado Aurre looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gaudencio Celipe struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Mats Wagemans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Absolut Rasta FC. The supporters of Absolut Rasta FC booed when Royal Antwerp FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathijs Van der Willeghem didn't get a good kick on the ball. Absolut Rasta FC's Amado Aurre got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amado Aurre in the 26th minute of play forced Royal Antwerp FC's goalkeeper Mats Wagemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Royal Antwerp FC's Robbin De Groote got a free kick in the 31st minute. After 37 played minutes Absolut Rasta FC got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Dunixi. If Dimitri Denturck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mats Wagemans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaudencio Celipe in the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pino Engelboorgs made a kick off. Ivan Dunixi hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Absolut Rasta FC's Reynaldo Arnalt got a free kick in the 65th minute. It was beautiful to see Royal Antwerp FC's Alain Vissenakens in action when he in the 67th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After 72 minutes of play, Royal Antwerp FC's Dimitri Denturck made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Leoiar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alberto Leoiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitri Denturck in the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaudencio Celipe in the 80th minute of play forced Royal Antwerp FC's goalkeeper Mats Wagemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Royal Antwerp FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Amado Aurre scored to the left of an out of position Mats Wagemans, making the score, 1-3. Absolut Rasta FC's Alberto Leoiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robbin De Groote in the 87th minute of play. Royal Antwerp FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Amado Aurre scored to the left of an out of position Mats Wagemans, making the score, 1-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amado Aurre in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mats Wagemans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Absolut Rasta FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
