Nando Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, F.Salgado F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Esteves to maneuver through the defense. Royal Antwerp FC's Dimitri Denturck got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Serginho Moreno fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.Salgado F.C.'s protests and gave Serginho Moreno a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, F.Salgado F.C.'s Serginho Moreno got a free kick in the 25th minute. F.Salgado F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Álvaro Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mats Wagemans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Royal Antwerp FC booed when F.Salgado F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Royal Antwerp FC's goalkeeper Mats Wagemans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Royal Antwerp FC's zone, Bebeto da Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mats Wagemans came out of the goal and Bebeto da Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bebeto da Silva in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mats Wagemans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Royal Antwerp FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alain Vissenakens in the 70th minute. A nice corner shot did that Dimitri Denturck got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nando Antunes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 73 minutes into the match, F.Salgado F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dimitri Denturck came free, but Nando Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bebeto da Silva in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mats Wagemans saved Royal Antwerp FC from getting behind. The supporters of F.Salgado F.C. booed when Royal Antwerp FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Wolfs didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Royal Antwerp FC's Dimitri Denturck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nando Antunes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 99 minutes into the game, Samuel da Rocha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Mats Wagemans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
