Rickard Björnsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Plan B fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Plan B's Rickard Björnsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 11 minutes into the game, Plan B's Valentin Vidman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matthieu Abelard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Rune Bergman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ollie Bright went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 21 minutes into the game, Philip Bakewell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético de Newell's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Plan B the free kick. Nils-Emil Pååk kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Tristram Ellerton was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 25th minute. Club Atlético de Newell's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 27 minutes into the match, Plan B's goalkeeper Rune Bergman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ollie Bright. 28 minutes into the match, Ollie Bright dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rune Bergman, 2-2. After 33 minutes, Keanu Story-Moore mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético de Newell and the Plan B players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valentin Vidman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthieu Abelard having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Björnsson in the 39th minute of play forced Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Matthieu Abelard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philip Bakewell got free with Rune Bergman in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 43 played minutes, Plan B's James Brown shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Matthieu Abelard came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Plan B reached it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tristram Ellerton to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Plan B's zone, Ollie Bright stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rune Bergman came out of the goal and Ollie Bright tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valentin Vidman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Matthieu Abelard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Tristram Ellerton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th match minute, Club Atlético de Newell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ollie Bright to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th match minute, Club Atlético de Newell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnny Burns to maneuver through the defense. Otis Redding charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Otis Redding the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute, one of Plan B:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Plan B. The referee gave Club Atlético de Newell a penalty, 74 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Keanu Story-Moore, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Plan B's Rune Bergman. 3-2. Plan B's Rickard Björnsson got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valentin Vidman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Matthieu Abelard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 98 minutes into the match, Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Matthieu Abelard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rickard Björnsson. Club Atlético de Newell succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Plan B had controlled the match.
