Christian Rocio's late challenge caught a Gloria Verdinegra AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 52nd minute of the match, Mario Refugio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Generoso Sasoin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gloria Verdinegra AFC's Generoso Sasoin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Gloria Verdinegra AFC from getting a goal against them. But to his dismay, Godofredo Manni quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Leonides Rayman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ismael Vela could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Generoso Sasoin made a huge save. With his leg Generoso Sasoin managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Atlético Nacional's Godofredo Manni fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 85th minute Silvio Elodio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Sasoin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Godofredo Manni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Nacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Godofredo Manni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Generoso Sasoin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
