After a defensive mix-up in Matanza and Steelers's zone, Daniele Minichiello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elivélton Hoffmann came out of the goal and Daniele Minichiello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Anfilogino Benvenuto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elivélton Hoffmann was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 22nd match minute, Matanza and Steelers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Brito to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anfilogino Benvenuto in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elivélton Hoffmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Matanza and Steelers defense, Anfilogino Benvenuto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elivélton Hoffmann. The Matanza and Steelers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elivélton Hoffmann should have stopped the shot. Alex Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anfilogino Benvenuto in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elivélton Hoffmann saved Matanza and Steelers from getting behind. After the first half AC Morena were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anfilogino Benvenuto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Daniele Minichiello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Elivélton Hoffmann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ferruccio Loreto's late challenge caught a Matanza and Steelers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferruccio Loreto helped the player get up and apologised. Alex Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anfilogino Benvenuto in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Elivélton Hoffmann, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Anfilogino Benvenuto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elivélton Hoffmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. When Aílton Montenegro fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matanza and Steelers's protests and gave Aílton Montenegro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st match minute, Matanza and Steelers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aílton Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Matanza and Steelers's Senad Or was substituted for Oswaldo Neves. After 73 played minutes Matanza and Steelers got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Montenegro. Cristiano Ruggieri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th match minute, AC Morena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Gallo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 83 minutes, Concetto Curti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Morena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Concetto Curti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anfilogino Benvenuto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Elivélton Hoffmann firmly grabbed it by the left post. Anfilogino Benvenuto scored 0-6 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elivélton Hoffmann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anfilogino Benvenuto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Elivélton Hoffmann made a huge save.
