The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 11 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Demario came free, but Clemente Armani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabricio Nahia made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Donovan Heath sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of San Fernando Eagles booed when C. A. Pipon Pipon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thanh Goldberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rosendo Demario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donovan Heath came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fabricio Nahia could save by the left post. In the 21st minute Iker Galtero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Armani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Clemente Armani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iker Galtero in the 23rd minute of play. Thanh Goldberg struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Fabricio Nahia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Pipon Pipon. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iker Galtero in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clemente Armani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jamel Cronshagen charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jamel Cronshagen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st match minute, C. A. Pipon Pipon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jamel Cronshagen to maneuver through the defense. Hector Pagomari hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Rosendo Demario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Galtero in the 45th minute of play forced C. A. Pipon Pipon's goalkeeper Clemente Armani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donovan Heath stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Clemente Armani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Pipon Pipon from getting a goal against them. After having played for 55 minutes, Jeremias Urbez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Fernando Eagles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremias Urbez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. San Fernando Eagles were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after C. A. Pipon Pipon's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rosendo Demario took the corner. The corner led to San Fernando Eagles's Jeremias Urbez getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 63rd minute, Michael Scott hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Phan Franc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Armani having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donovan Heath in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabricio Nahia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Thanh Goldberg came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the C. A. Pipon Pipon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thanh Goldberg couldn't finish the play. San Fernando Eagles's Wilfredo Chap was substituted for Atilano Goyo. In the 81st minute, Donovan Heath made a precise shot to the right of Fabricio Nahia. San Fernando Eagles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Clemente Armani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iker Galtero, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Donovan Heath sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeremias Urbez hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. If Thanh Goldberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rene Burr hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The C. A. Pipon Pipon support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
