The Independente AC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 11 minutes into the match, Giovani Veloso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Narinder Brara. PANUNDA F C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giovani Veloso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. A collision led to Independente AC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Giovani Veloso hit a great ball. In the 24th minute of the match, Rafa Falcão tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Narinder Brara saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 24 played minutes Independente AC got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Garcia. Naginderjeet Venkataramanappa kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Narinder Brara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafa Falcão, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 33 minutes of play, PANUNDA F C's Ekabhakta Ganguly made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinho da Cunha was left in no man's land by his defense there! 46 minutes into the match, Rafa Falcão notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of PANUNDA F C's Narinder Brara. Narinder Brara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafa Falcão made a kick off. Edmundo Garcia was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th match minute, Independente AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Garcia to maneuver through the defense. Gurumurthi Kapani was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 58th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The nice shot from Naginderjeet Venkataramanappa in the 61stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Claudinho da Cunha had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Claudinho da Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Naginderjeet Venkataramanappa in the 66th minute. Jerônimo da Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The supporters of PANUNDA F C booed when Independente AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerônimo da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Independente AC's Claudinho da Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Independente AC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Independente AC's Claudinho da Cunha got control of the ball when Neera Pal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erivaldo Recife charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erivaldo Recife the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some careless play in the Independente AC defense, Naginderjeet Venkataramanappa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudinho da Cunha. The Independente AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudinho da Cunha should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, PANUNDA F C's Kishan Kohli got a free kick in the 91st minute. Rafa Falcão might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Narinder Brara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 97 played minutes, Independente AC's Oswaldo Neiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Narinder Brara came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Independente AC reached it. For all the effort they put into the match, the PANUNDA F C players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Independente AC.
