An unexpectedly hard shot by Mingo Torrente in the 12th minute of play forced Eleven Nation Army's goalkeeper Joar Lilja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joar Lilja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mingo Torrente in the 25th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Per-Olof Brandt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arcadio Caminero. That made the score 1-1 in the 27 minute of play. After 32 minutes, Paulino Coya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Altza Herria and the Eleven Nation Army players grew even worse after the yellow card. Altza Herria's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Oier Solano's late challenge caught a Eleven Nation Army's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
