In the 10th minute, Jerry Verengen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Klavertje Vier fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Ali Ramachandran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jerry Verengen in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute Jerry Verengen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Ramachandran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afiq Hsi hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerry Verengen in the 20th minute of play forced Albirex Niigata FC's goalkeeper Ali Ramachandran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danial Ning charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danial Ning the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, Danial Ning hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afiz Butcher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrik Huyberechts having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Afiq Hsi made a precise shot to the right of Henrik Huyberechts. FC Klavertje Vier's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Anton Van Goethem managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Klavertje Vier's supporters rose to their feet, but Anton Van Goethem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Ramachandran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ali Ramachandran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernand De Koster in the 41st minute of the match. In the 45thth minute of the game Afiq Hsi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Klavertje Vier's Henrik Huyberechts was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The wind increased when Afiq Hsi made the kick off in the second half. During the 51st minute of the match Danial Ning completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Danial Ning a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 51 minutes into the game, one of Albirex Niigata FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Johan Bakayoko scored 3-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ali Ramachandran, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ali Ramachandran came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Klavertje Vier's Anton Van Goethem. But to his dismay, Anton Van Goethem quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 64thth minute of the game Jerry Verengen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Albirex Niigata FC's Ali Ramachandran was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Afriz Hian scored 4-2 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrik Huyberechts, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Albirex Niigata FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Afriz Hian hit a great ball. Johan Bakayoko hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Anton Van Goethem took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ali Ramachandran. Ali Ramachandran dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. The audience was convinced that Jerry Verengen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ali Ramachandran was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. FC Klavertje Vier's Henrik Huyberechts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afiq Hsi in the 80th minute of play. Afiq Hsi's late challenge caught a FC Klavertje Vier's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afiq Hsi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Albirex Niigata FC's Afiq Hsi got a free kick in the 86th minute. Anton Van Goethem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the game, Jerry Verengen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-2. Ali Ramachandran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ali Ramachandran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Van Goethem in the 92nd minute of the match. Afriz Hian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Klavertje Vier's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
