The referee ignored Alfa FC's protests and gave Maurício de Lara a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Alfa FC got a freekick which was hit by Maurício de Lara. Gilberto Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Alfonso Weather ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Patrick Cardozo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 37 minutes into the match, Maurício de Lara dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of German Berto, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Alfa FC's Gilberto Pires got a free kick in the 86th minute. Isidoro Nabar's late challenge caught a Alfa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidoro Nabar helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes, Alfa FC's Ciro Luz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper German Berto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alfa FC reached it. Maximo Diegotxe kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute of the match Ciro Luz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but German Berto skillfully saved the ball. Patrick Cardozo made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Amadeo Vincent sent off a good shot on target. San Martin de Tucuman were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
