De Pelgrims's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nelsinho Paranaense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. XV de Piracicaba's Elias Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geert Arend Robben in the 19th minute of play. Jelle Brinker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Elias Amorim made a huge save. De Pelgrims's Alfred Mol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Lucas in the 34th minute of play. With a little luck, XV de Piracicaba's Elias Amorim got control of the ball when Geert Arend Robben tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Haruna Hassan was the one to do the kick off. If Jelle Brinker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geert Arend Robben fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Amorim having to interfere. XV de Piracicaba's Elias Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geert Arend Robben in the 59th minute of play. A collision led to XV de Piracicaba getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Gualter Maranhense hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, De Pelgrims's Hendrik Adriaanse got a free kick in the 67th minute. After 70 played minutes De Pelgrims got a freekick which was hit by Hendrik Adriaanse. When Joris van Zijl fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Pelgrims's protests and gave Joris van Zijl a yellow card for diving instead. After recieving a nice pass, XV de Piracicaba's Gualter Maranhense tried to score from far away in the 73rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Geert Arend Robben hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Romário Lucas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfred Mol came out and tried to block the shot, but Romário Lucas slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 77th minute. Romário Lucas hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. With a little luck, De Pelgrims's Alfred Mol got control of the ball when Gualter Maranhense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfred Mol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romário Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. XV de Piracicaba's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
