The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Stonehouse in the 4th minute of play forced Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Samuel Matxin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Damian Stonehouse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Matxin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Deportivo Mandiyu getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Arnulfo Burutzagi hit a great ball. Samuel Beevers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Emenon in the 21st minute of play. In the 27th minute, Enzo Emenon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Manchester United F.C.'s Bill Black got a free kick in the 30th minute. 34 minutes into the game, Enzo Emenon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Samuel Beevers. Enzo Emenon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Moises Hartz's late challenge caught a Manchester United F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moises Hartz helped the player get up and apologised. Moises Hartz kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Geoff Turner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th match minute, Deportivo Mandiyu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan María Traverso to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Enzo Emenon took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Samuel Beevers. Samuel Beevers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Samuel Matxin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danny Ross in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan María Traverso in the 61st minute of play forced Manchester United F.C.'s goalkeeper Samuel Beevers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Damian Stonehouse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuel Matxin was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. 82 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mandiyu's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Stonehouse came free, but Samuel Matxin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aurelio Berbiz kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Deportivo Mandiyu made a substitution. Arturo Veronica replaced Moises Hartz. In the 84th match minute, Deportivo Mandiyu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Berbiz to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Damian Stonehouse sped through Deportivo Mandiyu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Samuel Matxin. If Damian Stonehouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Manchester United F.C.'s Dom Morning got a free kick in the 96th minute. Despite being the better team, Manchester United F.C. failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
