Florão da América's Aleksi Lehmann got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 7 minutes into the match, Florão da América's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Terciero came free, but Edmílson de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Velasco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Florão da América's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ORIZABA F.C. the free kick. After 7 played minutes Florão da América got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Velasco. Florão da América's Edmílson de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Terciero in the 8th minute of play. Zé Carlos de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. ORIZABA F.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Leonel Peres 13 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Edmílson de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Castellani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Victor Castellani had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmílson de Lara. Florão da América's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victor Castellani was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 25th minute Benjamin Terciero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, ORIZABA F.C.'s Benjamin Terciero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmílson de Lara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 34 minutes into the match, Jonas Eusko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmílson de Lara. Florão da América's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Eusko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. 40 minutes into the match, Benjamin Terciero notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Florão da América's Edmílson de Lara. Edmílson de Lara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Primo in the 43rd minute of play forced Florão da América's goalkeeper Edmílson de Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victor Castellani was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Florão da América's goal looked a bit too open when Victorino Primo came free, but Edmílson de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Benjamin Terciero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmílson de Lara was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. Leonardo Cordeiro scored 2-6 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ramon George, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute, ORIZABA F.C.'s Ubaldo Mogel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edmílson de Lara. Edmílson de Lara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-7. After a rather tough play, ORIZABA F.C.'s Ubaldo Mogel got a free kick in the 69th minute. Ramon George took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aleksi Lehmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Florão da América getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Henrique Marinho hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Benjamin Terciero reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edmílson de Lara. The goal made the score 2-8. ORIZABA F.C.'s Ubaldo Mogel got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, ORIZABA F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Cordeiro came free, but Ramon George reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aleksi Lehmann struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Ramon George didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Florão da América. When the final whistle sounded ORIZABA F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Florão da América.
