In the 31st match minute, Bayern Boliviano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlondon Abenda to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the match, Bayern Boliviano's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Overmars came free, but Faustino Abellaneda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hami Özerdal hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If Evarado Abancens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

53 minutes into the match, Bayern Boliviano's goalkeeper Faustino Abellaneda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marc Overmars. In the 57th minute Cibran Abechuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yüksel İlbey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
