Valeriu Achiriloaie charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valeriu Achiriloaie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Jenipapo SC booed when Club Vertigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valeriu Achiriloaie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moisés das Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dida Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dan Berceanu went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Giovanni Motta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Răzvan Mirciulescu was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 23rd minute of the match Jenipapo SC got a corner. Club Vertigo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After having played for 30 minutes, Armando Trevisan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jenipapo SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Trevisan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Club Vertigo's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Motta came free, but Răzvan Mirciulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36th play minutes Giovanni Motta shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Răzvan Mirciulescu and just under the crossbar into goal. Giovanni Motta scored 1-4 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Răzvan Mirciulescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 46 minutes, Wilian Paraíba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jenipapo SC and the Club Vertigo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wilian Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The wind increased when Dumitru Mavrogheni made the kick off in the second half. Răzvan Mirciulescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovanni Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dida Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Berceanu in the 61st minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Berceanu came free, but Dida Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jenipapo SC's Dida Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dumitru Mavrogheni in the 65th minute of play. The Jenipapo SC fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Jenipapo SC's Giovanni Motta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 78 minutes of play, Jenipapo SC's Moisés das Neves made it 1-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Răzvan Mirciulescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Jenipapo SC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Wilian Paraíba hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Club Vertigo's Valeriu Achiriloaie got a free kick in the 85th minute. Răzvan Mirciulescu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 87th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Roberto Cafuringa. Club Vertigo's attentive Romeo Galiceanu managed to snatch the ball when Wilian Paraíba made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. After 95 minutes, Marius Rizea made it 2-7 with a short kick to the right side. Jenipapo SC's Dida Taffarel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle sounded Jenipapo SC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Vertigo.
