After having played for 6 minutes, Dave Furia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aris Salonicco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dave Furia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Boroondara Milan getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Drake Boneheyo hit a great ball. Brendan Mckinnes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Furia in the 11th minute of the match. With his leg Armin Pallotta managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Boroondara Milan's Bud Ludwick fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 18th minute, Dave Furia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brendan Mckinnes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 21st match minute, Aris Salonicco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felice Brandolini to maneuver through the defense. If Dave Furia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 24 minutes into the match, Aris Salonicco FC's Dave Furia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brendan Mckinnes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Dave Furia put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Brendan Mckinnes. Birrell Gledden struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Armin Pallotta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boroondara Milan.
