The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kermit DeJesus hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Zula Kasiewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Jonah Peck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monty Stout charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Monty Stout the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Monty Stout hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, El Canalla de Chicago's Emmanuel Akers got a free kick in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Zula Kasiewski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonah Peck, 2-0. When Zula Kasiewski fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olimpia HSB's protests and gave Zula Kasiewski a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Olimpia HSB's Zula Kasiewski got a free kick in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Olimpia HSB's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Stout came free, but Borys Mentus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute, Clark Lindsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ksawery Wozniak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Monty Stout was the one to do the kick off. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olimpia HSB's goalkeeper Borys Mentus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Monty Stout's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Borys Mentus skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jonah Peck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zula Kasiewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Borys Mentus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Monty Stout went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. El Canalla de Chicago's Bernie Rosales was substituted for Rudolph Thurman. El Canalla de Chicago made a substitution. Craig Rhoades replaced James Uribe. In the 73rd match minute, El Canalla de Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Akers to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Zula Kasiewski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olimpia HSB's supporters rose to their feet, but Zula Kasiewski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonah Peck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ksawery Wozniak in the 81st minute of play forced El Canalla de Chicago's goalkeeper Jonah Peck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Olimpia HSB's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Clark Lindsey fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Monty Stout scored 2-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Borys Mentus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of El Canalla de Chicago booed when Olimpia HSB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tymoteusz Wejta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Monty Stout managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Canalla de Chicago's supporters rose to their feet, but Monty Stout was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Borys Mentus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Olimpia HSB getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Ksawery Wozniak hit a great ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
