In the 16thth minute of the game Iordache Măliță who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esbjerg fB's Egil Holmelin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iordache Măliță to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Esbjerg fB's zone, Iulian Gheorghe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egil Holmelin came out of the goal and Iulian Gheorghe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Folmar Alevig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Zdrehuş having to interfere. Helmuth Dybig kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 77 played minutes Esbjerg fB got a freekick which was hit by Helmuth Dybig.
