The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Froilan Ticho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Themos Batiropoulos. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. A collision led to Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Froilan Ticho hit a great ball. Froilan Ticho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Themos Batiropoulos having to interfere. After having played for 18 minutes, Mauro Montes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Montes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Mauro Montes got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 24 minutes, Eloy Pello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC and the GREEK ARMY players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Eloy Pello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Spyros Tsatsaronakis hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the game, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Mauro Montes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Themos Batiropoulos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. A collision led to GREEK ARMY getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Alkis Kalaboukas hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, GREEK ARMY's goalkeeper Themos Batiropoulos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauro Montes. Froilan Ticho might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Themos Batiropoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Froilan Ticho ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, GREEK ARMY's Spyros Tsatsaronakis got a free kick in the 44th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manos Konstantakos to make the kick off. Themos Batiropoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Montes, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 56 played minutes Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Javiar. After a rather tough play, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Eloy Pello got a free kick in the 58th minute. When Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Mauro Montes in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Themos Batiropoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Montes in the 71st minute of play. When Petros Rafailidis fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GREEK ARMY's protests and gave Petros Rafailidis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, Petros Rafailidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Mauricio Javiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. GREEK ARMY's Petros Rafailidis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th match minute, GREEK ARMY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentinos Vrisimitzakis to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Julio Txatxu hit a great ball. Edgard Medero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manos Konstantakos in the 91st minute of the match. Themos Batiropoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Montes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Mauro Montes in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GREEK ARMY's goalie prevented a goal. Froilan Ticho struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Themos Batiropoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC had played much better football throughout.
