David Flachs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Pirani in the 2nd minute of the match. In the 4th minute, Perivaldo Carneiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palestra do Interior fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sérgio Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Ronaldo Pirani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Flachs was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 20 minutes, Ronaldo Pirani made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. AFC Cherries's David Flachs tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Pirani in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Flachs prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, David Ulrich took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Fernando Pras to make any attempt to save it. Nelsinho Marinho scored 1-5 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Flachs, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nelsinho Marinho took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Flachs. David Flachs dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. David Flachs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christiano Palmeira in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, AFC Cherries's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo Carneiro came free, but David Flachs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Ronaldo Pirani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Flachs was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. A collision led to AFC Cherries getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. David Ulrich hit a great ball. After the first half Palestra do Interior were leading 1-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Ulrich to make the kick off. With a little luck, AFC Cherries's David Flachs got control of the ball when Nelsinho Marinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 55th play minute Nelsinho Marinho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised David Flachs. 1-8. 58 minutes into the match, AFC Cherries's goal looked a bit too open when Nelsinho Marinho came free, but David Flachs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Karel Fic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Zé Rafael in the 60th minute really tested David Flachs's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. David Flachs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelsinho Marinho in the 61st minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Maurinho Matorin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of David Flachs, 1-9. Palestra do Interior's David Vale was substituted for Alex Toscano. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. Dinei Brito replaced Ronaldo Pirani. David Flachs didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 69th minute, which inside left pole to 1-10. Palestra do Interior's Zé Rafael got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Palestra do Interior's Christiano Palmeira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind David Flachs. David Flachs yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-11. With a little luck, AFC Cherries's David Flachs got control of the ball when Nelsinho Marinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Palestra do Interior's Dinei Brito nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Flachs made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-12. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, David Flachs successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Richard Ríos, 94 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 96 minutes of play, Palestra do Interior's Maurinho Matorin made it 1-14 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Flachs was left in no man's land by his defense there!
