Diómedes Rodriguez struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Filippo Barbato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ►Las Mercedes F.C◄. XMAS's Filippo Barbato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diómedes Rodriguez in the 14th minute of play. Damiano De Nardis hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the game, Sergio Lozano lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Filippo Barbato. After 23 minutes, Christian Zaccardi made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Reinaldo Ramos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 29 minutes, Diómedes Rodriguez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Diómedes Rodriguez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filippo Barbato stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diómedes Rodriguez's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Alessio Ascoli kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Diómedes Rodriguez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 36th match minute, XMAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Zaccardi to maneuver through the defense. When Alessio Ascoli fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored XMAS's protests and gave Alessio Ascoli a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th match minute, XMAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessio Ascoli to maneuver through the defense. Sergio Lozano's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Filippo Barbato firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sergio Lozano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Concetto Marinucci charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Christian Zaccardi managed to get in a good position for a shot. XMAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Zaccardi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reinaldo Ramos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sergio Lozano to make the kick off. A collision led to XMAS getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Damiano De Nardis hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calito Garcia during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 73 played minutes XMAS got a freekick which was hit by Concetto Marinucci. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Wiliam Sobenis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for XMAS. After a rather tough play, XMAS's Dave Barillari got a free kick in the 85th minute. Diómedes Rodriguez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Damiano De Nardis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in XMAS's zone, Diómedes Rodriguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filippo Barbato came out of the goal and Diómedes Rodriguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute, Dave Barillari hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filippo Barbato didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wiliam Sobenis went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of XMAS for a fine match.
