Efren Abechuco hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Botello Abajas kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. If Ongile Abenda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Discípulos de Ayn Rand's Aaron Abella seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Aaron Abella the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Discípulos de Ayn Rand protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aaron Abella had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Discípulos de Ayn Rand:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of S S Palestra Italia:s goal. In the 29th minute, César Terra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santana Abar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a rather tough play, S S Palestra Italia's Rafinha Batista got a free kick in the 31st minute. 41 minutes into the game, Jimeno Abellaneda recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Geovanni Vaz. Jimeno Abellaneda showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Discípulos de Ayn Rand's Jimeno Abellaneda got a free kick in the 44th minute. Amauri Simões hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half S S Palestra Italia were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, S S Palestra Italia's César Terra got a free kick in the 55th minute. S S Palestra Italia's Geovanni Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Abancens in the 59th minute of play. César Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Alejandro Ramírez was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 61st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 63 minutes, Botello Abajas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Discípulos de Ayn Rand's supporters crossed their fingers, but Botello Abajas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geovanni Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrido Abancens in the 68th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when César Terra got free with Santana Abar in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Santana Abar made an important save on a dangerous shot by César Terra in the 71st minute. A collision led to Discípulos de Ayn Rand getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Patrido Abancens hit a great ball. César Terra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Santana Abar made a huge save. Geovanni Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Abellaneda in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, S S Palestra Italia's goal looked a bit too open when Eustaquio Abancens came free, but Geovanni Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, César Terra dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Santana Abar, 1-3. 86 minutes into the game, Patrido Abancens cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Geovanni Vaz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Alejandro Ramírez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Discípulos de Ayn Rand's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Ramírez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geovanni Vaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Patrido Abancens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 played minutes Discípulos de Ayn Rand got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Mortimer Camacho. The audience thought a goal was coming when César Terra got free with Santana Abar in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The S S Palestra Italia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing S S Palestra Italia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
