The referee showed Umberto Nogueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Umberto Nogueira hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. A collision led to Lupere FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Fernandinho Valle hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juarês Bastos in the 19th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Eugênio Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Joaquim Queirós notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Lupere FC's Adilson Palmeira. Adilson Palmeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 32nd minute Juarês Bastos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugênio Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Branco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adilson Palmeira having to make a save. In the 34th minute, Zézinho Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Umberto Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Renan Quirino made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Lupere FC's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Faria came free, but Adilson Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Renan Quirino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renan Quirino in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugênio Teles saved SORRISO E. C. from getting behind. Juarês Bastos hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Queirós in the 87th minute of play forced Lupere FC's goalkeeper Adilson Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renan Quirino in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugênio Teles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eugênio Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan Quirino in the 90th minute of the match. In the 93rd match minute, Lupere FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório Quirino to maneuver through the defense. SORRISO E. C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
