Filipe Macena didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Red Proud FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Valente came free, but Pascoal Modesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Coimbras short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Leon Firmin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 14th minute, Paulo Coimbra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leon Firmin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Fulgencio Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascoal Modesto having to interfere. Paulo Coimbra's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leon Firmin firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egídio Baptista in the 34th minute of play forced As de Copas's goalkeeper Leon Firmin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pascoal Modesto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Valente, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Prestes couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fulgencio Valente was the one to do the kick off. Pascoal Modesto didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 53rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Red Proud FC's Pascoal Modesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulgencio Valente in the 61st minute of play. But to his dismay, Egídio Baptista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Leon Firmin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the As de Copas defense, Egídio Baptista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leon Firmin. The As de Copas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leon Firmin should have stopped the shot. After 85 minutes, Andres Palban mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the As de Copas and the Red Proud FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, As de Copas's Andres Palban got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 87th match minute, As de Copas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Cordeal to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute of the match Óscar Sabrosa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leon Firmin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 90 played minutes As de Copas got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Gaitan. Caetano Prestes charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Red Proud FC fully deserved thier win.
