WAU team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albano Aurken was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in WAU team's zone, Albano Aurken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evandro Ortiz came out of the goal and Albano Aurken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute Albano Aurken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evandro Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilson Munhoz charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilson Munhoz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes WAU team got a freekick which was hit by Gilson Munhoz. Albano Aurken scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evandro Ortiz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to WAU team getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Flávio Dante hit a great ball. Sporting Club Victoria's Cosme Ezkerra suffered a sore knee after 28 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Caco Perez charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Caco Perez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sporting Club Victoria's Aurelio Nafarroa was substituted for Cosme Ezkerra. A collision led to WAU team getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Caco Perez hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Claudinei de Alcântara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hernan Licerio. That made the score 1-2 in the 32 minute of play. Evandro Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Endura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hernan Licerio came out of the goal and Claudinei de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hernan Licerio made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Claudinei de Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Sporting Club Victoria booed when WAU team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernando Eladio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Eladio in the 56th minute of play forced WAU team's goalkeeper Evandro Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57thth minute of the game Horácio Abreu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Club Victoria's Hernan Licerio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 59th minute Claudinei de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Licerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sporting Club Victoria's Hernan Licerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luiz Donato in the 63rd minute of play. Felippe de Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Evandro Ortiz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 65th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cayetano Goiz. WAU team's Evandro Ortiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save WAU team from getting a goal against them. Fernando Eladio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evandro Ortiz having to interfere. A collision led to WAU team getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Caco Perez hit a great ball. In the 75th match minute, WAU team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caco Perez to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Eladio did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-3 to the left of a surprised Evandro Ortiz 78 minutes into the match. Fernando Eladio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evandro Ortiz having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Sporting Club Victoria's Luis Tavio got a free kick in the 84th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Sporting Club Victoria's Fernando Eladio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Evandro Ortiz. That made the score 3-4 after 89 minutes of play. 94 minutes into the match, WAU team's goalkeeper Evandro Ortiz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albano Aurken. With a little luck, WAU team's Evandro Ortiz got control of the ball when Albano Aurken tried to sneak it across the goal line.
