Frankie Le Van struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Clóvis Pontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nomads Football Club. Frankie Le Van came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Clóvis Pontes could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frankie Le Van got free with Clóvis Pontes in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the game, Nomads Football Club's Frankie Le Van nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clóvis Pontes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Clóvis Pontes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Trey Marino went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Goiânia FC's goalkeeper Clóvis Pontes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Stanford Dodge had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clóvis Pontes. Goiânia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stanford Dodge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Sean Deaton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Soeiro went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Goiânia FC's Armando Soeiro got a free kick in the 57th minute. After some careless play in the Goiânia FC defense, Frankie Le Van kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clóvis Pontes. The Goiânia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clóvis Pontes should have stopped the shot. Trey Marino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clóvis Pontes having to interfere. After 65 played minutes Nomads Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Frankie Le Van. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Trey Marino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nomads Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Trey Marino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clóvis Pontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 70 minutes into the match, Frankie Le Van notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Goiânia FC's Clóvis Pontes. Clóvis Pontes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Frankie Le Van came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Nomads Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frankie Le Van couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the match, Frankie Le Van notched a goal, 7-1, to the right of Goiânia FC's Clóvis Pontes. Clóvis Pontes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Frankie Le Van blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clóvis Pontes having to make a save. If Trey Marino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 minutes, Stanford Dodge mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nomads Football Club and the Goiânia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanford Dodge in the 85th minute of play forced Goiânia FC's goalkeeper Clóvis Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Frankie Le Van ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Clóvis Pontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Frankie Le Van managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nomads Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Frankie Le Van was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clóvis Pontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Goiânia FC booed when Nomads Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanford Dodge didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Nomads Football Club fully deserved thier win.
