Ionică Dimofte hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. If Carolo Urbasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 7 minutes, Rigoberto Boniel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grosso United and the Dark Prophets players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Dark Prophets booed when Grosso United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Boniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Grosso United getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Natalio Peyo hit a great ball. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grosso United's goalkeeper Saturnino Romo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Isac Doloman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saturnino Romo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. After 13 minutes, Tomas Solustiano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grosso United and the Dark Prophets players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tomas Solustiano kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th match minute, Dark Prophets was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dumitru Tolea to maneuver through the defense. When Tomas Solustiano came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Grosso United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Solustiano couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute, Isac Doloman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Saturnino Romo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 29th match minute, Grosso United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Solustiano to maneuver through the defense. Grosso United's Saturnino Romo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olimpiu Isvoreanu in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Isac Doloman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dark Prophets's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grosso United the free kick. A collision led to Dark Prophets getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Isac Doloman hit a great ball. Saturnino Romo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isac Doloman in the 36th minute of play. The corner led to Dark Prophets's Olimpiu Isvoreanu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 45th minute, Cayetano Gabirel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Dark Prophets were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olimpiu Isvoreanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute Olimpiu Isvoreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Romo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Tomas Solustiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Irinel Albescu kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Grosso United's Saturnino Romo got control of the ball when Olimpiu Isvoreanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute Rigoberto Boniel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgil Vulturar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Dark Prophets's goal looked a bit too open when Nemesio Kepa came free, but Virgil Vulturar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgil Vulturar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carolo Urbasa in the 79th minute of the match. Eusebiu Doroftei lost his temper 86 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 87th minute, Eusebiu Doroftei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Grosso United supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Dark Prophets's performance. The match ended with a win for Dark Prophets.
