The MARTINETA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guido Herrera should have stopped the shot. In the 11th minute, Marciano Maxin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sportivo Ben Hur fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 16th minute Fernando Tiniebra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Herrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolas Bermudez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Abelardo Cristofor made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marciano Maxin in the 37th minute of play forced MARTINETA's goalkeeper Guido Herrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niceto Izel was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 40 minutes into the match. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Desiderio Tancredo made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Sportivo Ben Hur's Cristian Ted slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guido Herrera. That made the score 0-7 after 80 minutes of play. In the 84th play minute Fernando Tiniebra came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Guido Herrera. 0-8. Sportivo Ben Hur played a much better game than MARTINETA and deserved their victory. The MARTINETA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
