The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donato Vieira during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of LA DEL MONO booed when Futebol Espinhel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gil Ribas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silverio Lawrence went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 11 minutes, Gavino Sidoro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LA DEL MONO and the Futebol Espinhel players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gavino Sidoro hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Futebol Espinhel's Pedro Fagundes got a free kick in the 12th minute. The supporters of LA DEL MONO booed when Futebol Espinhel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Teofilo Urtungo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of LA DEL MONO booed when Futebol Espinhel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldaír Lobo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulino Passos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Constantino Dominic came out and tried to block the shot, but Paulino Passos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 19th minute. With a little luck, LA DEL MONO's Constantino Dominic got control of the ball when Paulino Passos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Futebol Espinhel's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aldaír Lobo in the 26th minute. Aldaír Lobo made a great header on Futebol Espinhel's corner, it was just that LA DEL MONO's Constantino Dominic managed to reach the ball for a save. 26 minutes into the game, Pedro Fagundes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Futebol Espinhel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LA DEL MONO the free kick. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Futebol Espinhel's goalkeeper Gil Ribas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Aldaír Lobo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Nestor Leoncio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute Aldaír Lobo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantino Dominic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Paulino Passos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Constantino Dominic. Paulino Passos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulino Passos to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Amado Palha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Futebol Espinhel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amado Palha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 55 minutes into the match, LA DEL MONO's goal looked a bit too open when Aldaír Lobo came free, but Constantino Dominic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Nestor Salvadore was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LA DEL MONO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Futebol Espinhel the free kick. Nestor Salvadore kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Gil Ribas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Nestor Salvadore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 86 played minutes LA DEL MONO got a freekick which was hit by Silverio Lawrence. Constantino Dominic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldaír Lobo in the 88th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Gavino Sidoro suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Vítor Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
