After some careless play in the Barcelona de América defense, Torsten Svensson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mane Urrechua. The Barcelona de América fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mane Urrechua should have stopped the shot. In the 9th minute Alberto Amaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Lundin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iachetti Blasco hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Alberto Amaya ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stefan Lundin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 19th minute, Allen Obando made a precise shot to the right of Stefan Lundin. BK Tåfjutt's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When BK Tåfjutt's Jonathan Eriksson in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barcelona de América's goalie prevented a goal. Vela Henao hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Jonathan Eriksson made a precise shot to the right of Mane Urrechua. Barcelona de América's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Stefan Lundin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Amaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Barcelona de América's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Fredriksson came free, but Mane Urrechua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Robert Fredriksson came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the BK Tåfjutt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Fredriksson couldn't finish the play. After 43 minutes, Zeledon Cevallo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barcelona de América and the BK Tåfjutt players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Allen Obando to make the kick off. Mane Urrechua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torsten Svensson in the 63rd minute of play. The supporters of Barcelona de América booed when BK Tåfjutt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mattias Grep didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allen Obando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mane Urrechua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torsten Svensson in the 70th minute of play. Ulises Casanande charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulises Casanande the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Robert Fredriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot. BK Tåfjutt's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Fredriksson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mane Urrechua breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 88 minutes, Ulises Casanande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barcelona de América's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulises Casanande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 90 played minutes BK Tåfjutt got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Svensson. Vela Henao lost his temper 92 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
