The supporters of Deus Ex Machina booed when Stade Ygossais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Blaison didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christophe Pérennou during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Christophe Pérennou hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armand Boissin in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jérémie Millier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stade Ygossais's Valérien Jouglet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Julienne in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Jean-Pierre Halter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Valérien Jouglet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jérémie Millier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cédric Louison, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 22 minutes of play, Deus Ex Machina's Jean-Pierre Halter made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valérien Jouglet was left in no man's land by his defense there! 25 minutes into the match, Jean-Pierre Halter notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Stade Ygossais's Valérien Jouglet. Valérien Jouglet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 32nd minute, Jean-Pierre Halter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valérien Jouglet was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 35th minute, Manuel Loustalot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jean-Pierre Halter hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Jérémie Millier made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Terry Constant sent off a good shot on target. Christophe Pérennou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Stade Ygossais players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deus Ex Machina were winning 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jean-Pierre Halter made a kick off. Éluard Marcellin made in the 53rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Armand Boissin however managed to control. Jérémie Millier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armand Boissin in the 55th minute of the match. In the 64th match minute, Deus Ex Machina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louison Vaille to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Jean-Pierre Halter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deus Ex Machina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Terry Constant scored 2-5 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jérémie Millier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Christophe Pérennou kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. With a little luck, Stade Ygossais's Valérien Jouglet got control of the ball when Jean-Pierre Halter tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute, Éluard Marcellin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Stade Ygossais lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
