Spectators: 165 (Terracing: 124, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) Algot Månsson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, Szentgotthárd's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Täman came free, but Lénárd Gervai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Szentgotthárd's Lénárd Gervai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Broman in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute, one of Szentgotthárd:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Szentgotthárd. Lénárd Gervai had in the 11thth minute some difficulties stopping Egon Nyberg's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Egon Nyberg kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Gustaf Rudberg was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Máté Dárdai capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Máté Dárdai really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The supporters of AC United booed when Szentgotthárd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gábor Tolnai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lénárd Gervai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Algot Månsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Árpád Farkas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 20th minute. Szentgotthárd's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Árpád Farkas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Rudberg having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Szentgotthárd's Mátyás Pápai got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute Ingvar Täman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lénárd Gervai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute AC United were awarded a corner. Egon Nyberg went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Szentgotthárd's goalie and right to Algot Månsson. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Szentgotthárd's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Gustaf Rudberg made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Gábor Tolnai sent off a good shot on target. After 33 minutes, Benjámin Zádori mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Szentgotthárd and the AC United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Szentgotthárd's Lénárd Gervai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egon Nyberg in the 34th minute of play. Gustaf Rudberg made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Árpád Farkas sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute of the match Szentgotthárd got a corner. AC United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pál Szabados ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Pál Szabados almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AC United's Gustaf Rudberg did a great save. If Árpád Farkas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Szentgotthárd's Gábor Tolnai dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Máté Dárdai made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Árpád Farkas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaf Rudberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gábor Tolnai in the 56th minute of play forced AC United's goalkeeper Gustaf Rudberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 59 played minutes Szentgotthárd got a freekick which was hit by Gábor Sebestyén. 60 minutes into the game, AC United's Algot Månsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lénárd Gervai made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The supporters of AC United booed when Szentgotthárd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Máté Dárdai didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Árpád Farkas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Gustaf Rudberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Máté Dárdai struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Gustaf Rudberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Szentgotthárd. If Árpád Farkas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Patric Ödman hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the match, AC United's goal looked a bit too open when Árpád Farkas came free, but Gustaf Rudberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Árpád Farkas in the 90th minute of play forced AC United's goalkeeper Gustaf Rudberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Árpád Farkas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
