In the 45th minute, Algot Månsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 46 minutes, Segundo Ponciano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INDEPENDIENTE F.C. and the AC United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th match minute, INDEPENDIENTE F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Segundo Ponciano to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orlando Oroitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. AC United's Gustaf Rudberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Oroitz in the 54th minute of play. If Egon Nyberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Algot Månsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeronimo Abella having to interfere. Ramon Salomon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Gustaf Rudberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute, AC United's Sverker Nässén seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sverker Nässén the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of AC United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sverker Nässén had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 79th minute, Sverker Nässén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Justino Atarratze got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Algot Månsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeronimo Abella having to interfere. Orlando Oroitz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gustaf Rudberg having to make a save. Jeronimo Abella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Algot Månsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Algot Månsson in the 96th minute of play forced INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s goalkeeper Jeronimo Abella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The INDEPENDIENTE F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AC United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
