The supporters of El Millo de Haedo booed when Kentucky Mustangs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sal Whittington didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jimeno Precioso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Titus Fernandez. Kentucky Mustangs's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to El Millo de Haedo getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Matias Magdaleno hit a great ball. Titus Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Taurino, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Elias Piarres managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Millo de Haedo's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Piarres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Titus Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Titus Fernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elias Piarres's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, El Millo de Haedo's Bonifacio Garoa got a free kick in the 17th minute. The supporters of Kentucky Mustangs booed when El Millo de Haedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Taurino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in El Millo de Haedo's zone, Vaughn Willingham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Carrizo came out of the goal and Vaughn Willingham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, El Millo de Haedo's goal looked a bit too open when Santo Finney came free, but Antonio Carrizo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Santo Finney got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tyrone McCracken scored 2-0 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antonio Carrizo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 38th match minute, Kentucky Mustangs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyrone McCracken to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elias Piarres in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Titus Fernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Piarres in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Titus Fernandez saved Kentucky Mustangs from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elias Piarres in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Titus Fernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vaughn Willingham stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kentucky Mustangs's Titus Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Taurino in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Melvin Snyder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kentucky Mustangs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Millo de Haedo the free kick. Melvin Snyder kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 60th match minute, Kentucky Mustangs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flint Landrum to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Titus Fernandez managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when El Millo de Haedo's Elias Piarres fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Elias Piarres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Titus Fernandez having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Uriel Isusko got free with Titus Fernandez in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elias Piarres might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Titus Fernandez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elias Piarres ran back to his position shaking his head. Elias Piarres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Titus Fernandez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. When the match was over El Millo de Haedo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kentucky Mustangs throughout the match.
