In the 4thth minute of the game Grigor Kúndev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ÇALIMLI's Birkan Yağın was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Ferid Özer fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ÇALIMLI's protests and gave Ferid Özer a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to ÇALIMLI getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ferid Özer hit a great ball. In the 6th minute, Rangel Temelyotev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, ÇALIMLI's Refik Halit Kutuner got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Stanoy Chepishev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Zekeriya Özbekkan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the game, Zekeriya Özbekkan lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Spiro Buchinski. Birkan Yağın showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grigor Kúndev in the 29th minute of the match. Zekeriya Özbekkan might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Spiro Buchinski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zekeriya Özbekkan ran back to his position shaking his head. Stanoy Chepishev struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Birkan Yağın didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Kyustendil. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zekeriya Özbekkan made a kick off. Spiro Buchinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zekeriya Özbekkan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72ndth minute of the game Zekeriya Özbekkan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Kyustendil's Spiro Buchinski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. ÇALIMLI's attentive Şahap Karay managed to snatch the ball when Venko Gadzhanov made a throw-in in the 74th minute of the game. When Zekeriya Özbekkan came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the ÇALIMLI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zekeriya Özbekkan couldn't finish the play. FC Kyustendil's Peycho Deliev got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peycho Deliev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Birkan Yağın tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ÇALIMLI players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
